About Me

In 1998, my life changed.  After 13 years of trying, my husband and I were blessed with a son.  After he was born, I didn't return to my job as an Optician. Instead, I became a stay-at-home mom.

After a few years I needed a creative outlet, something to do besides being Mommy.  I've always done some sort of craft; sewing, floral designs, wooden crafts, needlework, crocheting, etc.  I always had a desire to paint, I had stenciled but wanted to learn more.

Then I saw Donna Dewberry on TV demonstrating her One Stroke Painting technique.  She convinced me I could do this, so I ordered a video kit and sat in front of my TV painting along with the video while my son napped.

After alot of practice, I finally painted my first piece;  an old milk can.  Everyone that saw it liked it and kept suggesting more things to paint.  Then I painted another milk can for my Mom, she loved it.

Shortly after that, my family's lives were put on hold.  My Mom was diagnosed with cancer, in stage 4.  My Dad, my sisters and I took care of her through her 10 month battle.  My Mom had always encouraged me to keep painting.  About 6 months later I started painting again and tried my hand at mailboxes.  First my own, then gifts for my family and finally selling them at craft shows.  Everyone who saw them said I needed to be selling on the Internet.  So, finally here I am.  I hope you enjoy.
